San Diego Latino Film Festival ‘10
at UltraStar Mission Valley Cinemas

As a non-profit fundraiser for MEDIA ARTS CENTER SAN DIEGO, the 17th Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival is not possible with out the army of volunteers that come together to help put on the eleven day festival of movies, music, art, and celebrations.
The festival is the largest fundraising activity that MEDIA ARTS CENTER SAN DIEGO produces. The annual event now in its seventeenth year is proud to continue the tradition of being a fundraiserfor the 501(C)(3) non-profit MEDIA ARTS CENTER SAN DIEGO, which promotes access to film and video as tools for community self-expression and social change and supports the professional development of media artists. Specifically, the organization works closely with underserved teens in the greater San Diego region teaching them media literacy by creating local documentaries such as Refugee Voices and Barrio Logan Community Voices (now available on DVD) as well as providing year-round independent film exhibition, media maker workshops and film maker networking groups.

San Diego Latino Film Festival ‘10
Celebrating the best in Latino cinema from around the world, the San Diego Latino Film Festival proudly announces its seventeenth anniversary edition. The San Diego Latino Film Festival is much more than just films. Some of the Special Presentations include: Cine Mujer, 4th Annual Cine'Mation, 5th Annual Cine Gay, 4th Annual Borders on Film, this year's Hecho en Venezuela: A Celebration of Venezuelan Cinema, Annual Free Student Outreach Screening, tributes, Reel Talk Workshops, parties, and much more!
The Festival will be held from March 11-21, 2010, at UltraStar Mission Valley Cinemas at Hazard Center (7510 Hazard Center Dr. San Diego, CA 92108). Close to 20,000 festival goers will have the opportunity to attend over 150 screenings, meet approximately 100 actors and filmmakers and attend workshops, live music events, parties and other exciting events.
This year, San Diego Latino Film Festival 2010 once again proudly presents different categories of films including Animation, Feature Documentaries, Shorts, and Feature Narratives.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
Festival volunteers are required to attend at least 1 of the 5 orientations. The first volunteer orientation is Tuesday, December 8th and the second volunteer orientation is on Tuesday, January 19th, at 6 PM. The first two will be held at the Media Arts Center San Diego, 921 25th St., San Diego, CA 92102. The final two orientations will be held at UltraStar Mission Valley Cinemas, 7510 Hazard Center Drive, San Diego, CA 92108 (review schedule top right). We will be speaking about the specific opportunities available during the actual festival as well as signing up all volunteers for specific days and times to volunteer. Festival staff will be there to answer any of your specific questions you may have.
***NOTE*** For those who may be interested in guest relations, please bring your drivers license. We will need to make a copy.
